I bought this after seeing how the architect handles natural materials, and the chapters on craftsmanship didn't disappoint. The sections on wood and stone detailing made me rethink a few choices in my own renovation.

The photography of the natural materials and craftsmanship details is what sold me — you can actually see the texture of the stone and timber in the close-ups. I've been flipping through it slowly, one house at a time, and it's already given me ideas for our own renovation.

The photography alone makes this worth the price—close-ups of natural wood and stone grain really sell the argument. My only gripe is that a few of the floor plans are too small to read comfortably.
