The photos inside are gorgeous, and the sections on her early millinery days and the sportswear inventions actually taught me things I didn't know. It's a compact little hardback, so it fits nicely on the nightstand without taking over.

I picked this up knowing almost nothing about her early millinery days and ended up reading the whole thing in two sittings. The way it traces her sportswear inventions into the wider legacy is genuinely well done for such a compact book.

The photography alone makes this worth it — full-page shots of the early millinery work and the sportswear pieces I'd only read about. It's a compact little hardcover too, so it actually fits in my bag for the commute.
