建築師之宅

Twenty architects, twenty totally different approaches to a home, and I kept dog-earing pages before I'd even finished the first chapter. The mix of floor plans and lived-in interiors makes it easy to picture your own renovation instead of just admiring someone else's.

The photos of the older house renovations are what sold me — seeing how twenty different architects worked within existing walls gave me actual ideas for our kitchen. It's more inspiration than instruction, but that's exactly what I wanted.

I bought this while planning a renovation and ended up reading the profiles of all twenty architects in one sitting. The range of homes covered, from compact city plots to rural retreats, gave me way more ideas than I expected.
