Riva Aquarama

I picked this up for my dad who grew up around wooden runabouts, and the chapters on Carlo Riva's design process kept him quiet for a whole afternoon. The printing quality is lovely too, with a nice heft to the pages that makes it feel like a proper coffee table book.

The photos of that mahogany hull alone are worth it. I've never seen the detailing on a wooden run-about captured this well, and the background on how the boat came to be is a nice bonus.

Bought this as a coffee table book and ended up reading every page before guests even arrived. The section on Carlo Riva's design process is genuinely fascinating, and the boat photography is gorgeous.
