The circular disc cutting around the body catches light really nicely on our dining table. I've had tulips and later some eucalyptus in it and it holds up fine either way.

The 5" insert is the handiest bit, I just swap it out for different stems without changing the vase itself. The disc cutting is pretty without being fussy. Only thing is it's a touch lighter than I expected, so I keep it away from the edge of the shelf.
