The spalted grain on these bowls is gorgeous, each one has its own dark veining that you can't get from a factory finish. The maple is light and smooth in the hand, and the big one has become my go-to for holding fruit on the counter.

Served a salad in the big one tonight and couldn't get over the grain—smooth as anything, with those darker spalted streaks running through the light maple. You can tell it's real fallen-tree wood and not some stamped-out thing.

Light but sturdy, and the smooth maple grain really shows through the finish. It's held up fine for salad night and a pile of oranges on the counter.
