The toile de jouy pattern is a faithful 18th-century reproduction and it shows — the print has that slightly hand-drawn, lived-in quality that modern reproductions usually miss. It's softer than I expected too, and the sky color reads calm rather than washed out.

I was worried the toile print would look busy up close, but it reads more like a vintage document than wallpaper. The pattern has real depth without overwhelming the room, and it's easily the nicest thing on my bed now.

The toile de jouy pattern is even prettier in person, and the fabric feels substantial without being stiff. Washed it once and the print didn't fade a bit.
