Picked this up after seeing the 2012 couture pieces in person and the perceptive essays really deepened how I read those collections. The paper stock feels substantial and the color reproduction on the atelier shots is gorgeous.

The photography alone justifies the price — I've flipped through the couture collection spreads maybe ten times now. The perceptive text actually adds context instead of just describing the clothes, which is rare for a fashion book.
