I didn't expect a coffee-table book to actually hold my attention, but the history of how these women became a cultural phenomenon pulled me in. The section on performing in front of 100,000 spectators really puts the scale of it into perspective.

The photos of those cropped vests with the blue stars are gorgeous, and I spent a good hour just flipping through them. The section on the 100,000-seat stadium really puts the whole phenomenon in perspective.
