I was worried the dotted pattern would feel busy up close, but it reads soft and painterly in person. The 500 thread count Egyptian cotton is the real star though, cool and smooth without any slickness. First wash and it came out even softer.

The embroidered edge gives the sham a finished look that plain bedding just doesn't have. I washed it once and the percale came out barely wrinkled, which I didn't expect from cotton this fine.
