Thomas W. ★★★★★

The photos alone are worth it, but what really got me was the chapter on how the leopard's coat pattern evolved to suit the Arabian terrain. I've bought a few wildlife books that felt padded, this one doesn't.

Hazel ★★★★★

The section on how the subspecies evolved its distinct features over thousands of years genuinely surprised me — I expected a photo book but got real substance. My only tiny gripe is that I wished for more range maps, but the photography alone makes it worth keeping on the coffee table.

Violet N. ★★★☆☆

The evolution section explaining the leopard's distinct features was more interesting than I expected. But for the price I wanted more pages on conservation, and a few photos are printed a bit small. Decent if you're mainly after the natural history.
