The steel frame gives it a nice weight, so it doesn't tip over when my cat bumps the table. The raffia weave is tight and even, and it looks way more expensive than what I paid.
The handwoven raffia has this lovely uneven texture that makes each petal look slightly different, way nicer than the smooth plastic vase I had before. It's surprisingly light too, so I can move it from the dining table to the shelf without worrying about knocking anything over.
