The range of houses they found is what got me — everything from weathered shingle cottages to a proper old saltbox, all shot in that soft coastal light. It reads like a love letter to the state without ever getting sappy about it.

The photography is the whole reason to own this — McEvoy's eye for weathered shingles and summer light makes it feel like flipping through someone's family album of the coast. Burwell's art direction keeps the layouts clean so the houses actually breathe on the page.

Picked this up before a trip up the coast and it made me want to plan a longer one. The houses they found range from weathered cottages to grand old places, and the photos of the interiors feel like you're actually standing in them.
